Best Brewing Methods
Espresso Machines
Hondu is particularly well suited to traditional espresso machines. Its dark-roasted character makes it a natural choice for those who enjoy a rich, concentrated espresso.
For a useful starting point, try an espresso recipe using approximately 18g of ground coffee to produce 36g of espresso in around 25–30 seconds. Adjust the grind and extraction to suit your equipment and taste.
Bean-to-Cup Coffee Machines
Hondu may also suit bean-to-cup machines that accept whole coffee beans, particularly if you enjoy stronger espresso-style drinks.
Always check your machine manufacturer's recommendations for dark-roasted beans, especially if the beans appear particularly oily.
Filter Coffee
Prefer a longer coffee? Hondu can also be brewed using a filter coffee maker, producing a full-bodied cup with a stronger character than many lighter-roasted filter coffees.
Choose Your Preferred Size and Grind
Hondu Espresso Coffee is available in a selection of bag sizes and grind options.
- Whole beans: Ideal if you have a suitable coffee grinder or bean-to-cup machine.
